R.I.P Tige!
1991-2008
Our Tiger left the earth Sunday Night/Monday Morning. My mom woke up at 4am and he was in the box he liked to sleep in. 17 years old, he lived long. I'll never understand how people don't understand the pain of losing a pet.17 years with an animal in your life is nothing to just write off. It's weird just having Sheba (his real life brother) now. *sigh* I'm getting choked up. But it's okay.. just like dogs, I know that cats go to Heaven. He was older than 6 of my nieces and nephews. I love ya Tige!

aww, so sorry to hear this...17 years for a cat, however, is an extremely long life.
i feel you when i don't think that people understand how it feels to lose a pet. i remember i had a cat when i was younger named spud (remember spud mckenzie?!) and after a few months he was hit by a car and i was actually the one that discovered him. when i told my parents they quickly had him removed and told me that it was just a cat and to "get over it." i didn't have the cat for very long but i still feel like their response to it was way inappropriate, nahmean? to this day when i see a white cat with gray spots on one side i still get a little warm-hearted, thinking about my boy spud. :(
