R.I.P Tige!

aww, so sorry to hear this...17 years for a cat, however, is an extremely long life.

i feel you when i don't think that people understand how it feels to lose a pet. i remember i had a cat when i was younger named spud (remember spud mckenzie?!) and after a few months he was hit by a car and i was actually the one that discovered him. when i told my parents they quickly had him removed and told me that it was just a cat and to "get over it." i didn't have the cat for very long but i still feel like their response to it was way inappropriate, nahmean? to this day when i see a white cat with gray spots on one side i still get a little warm-hearted, thinking about my boy spud. :(

Sorry to hear about your loss. I have had a pet die, another that I had to give up as a teen after many years of companionship, and one was lost by a friend who I had temporarily entrusted with her care. I still miss them all to this day. Definitely feel your pain.
